Customer Experience Specialist

As the pivotal bridge between our consumers and our internal engineering and marketing focused organization, you will use your strong technical aptitude to participate in product discussions both internally and externally. WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

As the ideal candidate for this role, you:

  • – are a runner and/or a cyclist. Maybe you don’t compete, maybe you do, but at the very least you know that a spider on your bike shouldn’t have webs
  • – are a natural champion for the customer and aren’t happy until they’re happy. You can deal with customers sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically and professionally, and offer the appropriate options, solutions and resolutions required
  • – have excellent communication skills – you listen first, then share knowledge
  • – have a strong technical aptitude. You don’t have to be a full engineer tech or gear head, but your technical prowess is important since that’s really what we’re all about
  • – ideally have bike grease under your nails – you have experience assembling, maintaining, and repairing bikes of all shapes and sizes in a bike shop or even in your garage. You can logically work your way through tear downs and builds ups to “make it all happen”
  • – are extremely well-organized, tenacious and methodical when it comes to process and getting things done
  • – live and promote high standards of professional integrity and superior customer service which lends to having a strong work ethic and positive team attitude
  • – have at least 3 years of experience in providing exceptional customer service and demonstrating troubleshooting skills

Manufacturing Engineer

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

Reporting to the COO, the Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for assuring consistent quality of production by developing and enforcing standard manufacturing processes and procedures, validating processes and providing required documentation for multiple factories. You will be the go-to person for finding solutions to the problems that arise in both new and existing products, utilizing a wide array of knowledge and skills to troubleshoot and iterate in order to create the best products possible. Your ability to develop and improve manufacturing processes by studying product and manufacturing methods will provide personal satisfaction for a job well done. As an important member of the Operations team, you will:

  • – Develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements and researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment
  • – Establish effective and efficient work sequences and procedures to help the company meet budgetary goals as well as production quotas
  • – Evaluate and maintain existing manufacturing processes and workflows to identify areas that could benefit from changes and improvements by applying knowledge of product design, space requirements, equipment layout, fabrication, assembly, tooling and materials
  • – Automate existing manufacturing processes
  • – Work with product development team to review manufacturability of current and new product designs
  • – Provide pertinent manufacturing information by calculating production, labor and material costs
  • – Create and/or review ECOs, TDNs, SOPs, IQC and OQC documents and conduct BOM reviews
  • – Review production schedules and estimate future requirements
  • – Keep equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services, and following manufacturer’s instructions and established procedures
  • – Investigate new manufacturing technologies
  • – Establish and achieve quality assurance objectives by: 1) training, assigning, scheduling and ensuring employees are using proper procedures, 2) implementing productivity and quality standards, identifying and resolving problems, determining system improvements and implementing change, 3) analyzing production variances and initiating corrective actions
  • – Validate quality processes by measuring and auditing production, and writing and updating quality assurance procedures and reports
  • – Support offshore factories with periodic on-site visits, including training on new product releases, auditing factory operations and review quality and manufacturing processes

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

As the ideal candidate for this role, you have:

  • – A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering,  Electrical Engineering or related degree
  • – 5+ years’ design and/or quality control experience in product manufacturing
  • – Hands on experience with manufacturing equipment
  • – Manufacturing experience with electronic assemblies and adhesive applications is beneficial
  • – Experience with MRP and ERP systems
  • – Experience with automated manufacturing and/or robotic manufacturing technologies is an asset
  • – Experience with CAD programs (Solidworks)
  • – C, Python and SQL programming is an asset
  • – Proficient with G-Suite programs
  • – Experience in statistical analysis and/or modeling is an asset

 Manufacturing Technician

WHAT WILL YOU BE WORKING ON?

As an important member of the manufacturing team, you will be responsible for assembling, installing and testing electronics, and seeing production units through to shipping. As part of our continuing improvement process, you will provide tech support for engineering prototype development as needed. When providing tech support, you will help with designing circuits, improving processes, building prototypes and manufacturing fixtures. Your confidence in understanding and facilitating the process from beginning to end will add tremendous value to the company and provide personal satisfaction for a job well done.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

As the ideal candidate for this role, you:

  • – possess a diploma from SAIT, NAIT or another technical institution
  • – have proven manual dexterity and experience with fine soldering of electronics and printed circuit boards
  • – are competent using light machines, power tools and Solidworks
  • – have a solid understanding of Bill of Materials
  • – have experience reviewing and writing SOPs
