Financial Accountant

4iiii Innovations is an engineering and development company designing innovative technologies for elite athletes and recreational fitness enthusiasts. We’re seeking a permanent full-time Financial Accountant to join our team in Cochrane, Alberta.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

As a key contributor and collaborative team member reporting directly to the CFO, you will use your strong technical abilities and work experience to handle a broad range of accounting duties including inventory and capital asset management.   • – Assist in day-to-day accounting processes and ensure all transactions are recorded and reported accurately, on a timely basis and in accordance with approved accounting policies and procedures
  • – Work closely with supply chain and buyers to manage and reconcile inventory
  • – Track and manage the company’s capital assets
  • – Review company expenditures and employee expenses and ensure that they are accurately coded
  • – Perform bookkeeping tasks including entering/coding of invoices and reconciling company credit card statements
  • – Assist with coordination and preparation of regular filing requirements including GST and payroll remittances
  • – Provide support in the preparation of monthly and quarterly reports, financial statements and forecasts

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

As the ideal candidate for this role, you:

  • – Possess an educational background in accounting and have a recognized accounting designation
  • – Have a minimum of 3 to 5 years work experience in accounting that reflects a strong knowledge of accounting principles
  • – Possess strong technical skills using Microsoft Excel and Google Suite
  • – Have demonstrated proficiency using accounting software, particularly QuickBooks

Factory Scheduler/Production Planner

4iiii Innovations is an engineering and development company designing innovative technologies for elite athletes and recreational fitness enthusiasts. We’re seeking a full-time Factory Scheduler / Production Planner to join our team in Cochrane, Alberta.

 

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

The Factory Scheduler/Production Planner is responsible for developing, maintaining and communicating the 4iiii Innovations Inc. global production schedule. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Director of Supply Chain Management to ensure best practices in demand planning, inventory planning, production planning and fulfillment planning. He/she will coordinate the activities of the local production line, as well as the overseas factories providing manufacturing services for 4iiii. He/she will analyze and report on actual customer demand, trends and forecasts, and adjust capacity plans and inter-departmental communication accordingly. This person will also be responsible for creating specific forecasts for materials, which shall be used for inventory management and planning purposes. Ensuring that production schedules are created, completed on time and within budget will provide personal satisfaction for a job well done. As an important member of the Operations team, you will:

  • – Create, maintain and ensure execution of the production schedule
  • – Coordinate activities with overseas factories and local production team
  • – Forecast materials and labour required for production
  • – Coordinate traffic flow of supplies
  • – Work closely with Buyers on inventory planning and management, forecasts, and scheduling
  • – Maintain strict control over inventory levels in order to meet internal and external product demand
  • – Regularly report on schedule performance
  • – Monitor production progress and ensure that builds are completed on time and within budget
  • – Advise departments of the status of work in progress and any potential production problems, and provide solutions/alternative scheduling options
  • – Work with other managers to coordinate activities within and between departments
  • – Work with Logistics and Brand Departments on channel fulfillment forecasting, planning and execution
  • – Work with Engineering on implementing new product introduction into factory schedules
  • – Identify improvements and help implement solutions that increase efficiency and production rates
  • – Review forecasts to identify and mitigate possible capacity/material issues and recommend appropriate action
  • – Perform ongoing analysis of weekly, monthly and future capacity to optimize product level loading and achieve manufacturing continuity during low and high volume months
  • – Lead the sales and operating plan process that forecasts matching capacity with demand, lead-time and delivery performance
  • – Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules and other records/reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs

 

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

As the ideal candidate for this role, you have:

  • – Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, materials management or a related field
  • – At least 3 to 5 years of scheduling experience that demonstrates sound planning, prioritization and execution skills
  • – Production, supply chain management, global logistics and forecasting experience preferred
  • – Extensive knowledge of MPS/MRP, demand flow, JIT, forecasting, inventory planning and supply chain design
  • – Experience in managing production of overseas factories
  • – Willing to travel if required
  • – A well-defined sense of diplomacy, superior telephone etiquette, strong interpersonal skills, and people management skills
  • – Advanced ability to be analytical, effectively problem-solve, communicate (orally and in writing) and lead business discussions
  • – Experience as a team player working with cross-functional teams
  • – Ability to motivate a team to produce quality work within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects
  • – Ability to respond appropriately under pressure with a calm and steady demeanour
  • – Strong organizational skills
  • – Proficiency with planning software systems, as well as Google products, including Docs, Sheets and Slides, and Smartsheets
  • – Able to meticulously maintain filing systems, databases and records
  • – Knowledge of best practices in internal controls
  • – Strong customer service orientation
  • – Knowledge and experience in change management

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

As the ideal candidate for this role, you:

  • – are a runner and/or a cyclist. Maybe you don’t compete, maybe you do, but at the very least you know that a spider on your bike shouldn’t have webs
  • – are a natural champion for the customer and aren’t happy until they’re happy. You can deal with customers sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically and professionally, and offer the appropriate options, solutions and resolutions required
  • – have excellent communication skills – you listen first, then share knowledge
  • – have a strong technical aptitude. You don’t have to be a full engineer tech or gear head, but your technical prowess is important since that’s really what we’re all about
  • – ideally have bike grease under your nails – you have experience assembling, maintaining, and repairing bikes of all shapes and sizes in a bike shop or even in your garage. You can logically work your way through tear downs and builds ups to “make it all happen”
  • – are extremely well-organized, tenacious and methodical when it comes to process and getting things done
  • – live and promote high standards of professional integrity and superior customer service which lends to having a strong work ethic and positive team attitude
  • – have at least 3 years of experience in providing exceptional customer service and demonstrating troubleshooting skills
  • – are comfortable using a computer for work, and ideally have a high level of proficiency with utilizing the Google G Suite products and Zendesk
  • – have a high school diploma, though having some post secondary education is preferred
