Zero Contact
Fliiiight’s resistance unit doesn’t touch your wheel or tire, which means you don’t have to replace your tire like a wheel-on trainer, and you don’t have to remove your entire wheel like a direct-drive trainer. You get to use the exact same tire, tube, and cassette you use outdoors.
Virtual Inertia
Fliiiight’s resistance unit learns your pedal stroke and modulates instantaneous resistance continuously so that it feels like you’re riding with a flywheel even though there is no mechanical connection to your wheel.

Near Silence, Tight Packaging

Magnets to Slow Non-Magnetic Wheels
Fliiiight uses a bank of powerful permanent magnets that generate eddy currents when a conductor (such as your aluminum wheel rim) is passed through them. Eddy currents oppose the original magnetic force, creating resistance without making any noise or wearing out your wheel or tire.

Easy Setup
You don’t have to install a hard tire, like a wheel-on trainer. You don’t have to take your wheel off, like a direct-drive trainer. You simply put your skewer in the skewer cups, make sure your spoke-counting clip is installed, and you are ready to ride. If the weather improves, you can have your bike road-ready in 10 seconds by unclipping it from the skewer cups.

Fliiiight communicates over ANT+ and Bluetooth Smart, and can be used with all popular riding and training apps, letting your workouts just fly by. Riding apps can act as virtual coaches or virtual racing arenas, keeping you motivated and entertained while training indoors.

Wheel Compatibility
Because of its unique resistance mechanism, it is an absolute necessity that you check your wheel for compatibility before purchase, or acquire a compatible wheel. Fliiiight requires your wheel rim to be constructed out of aluminum, and contain no steel parts. Steel parts attract the very strong magnets used by Fliiiight for resistance.
Communication Compatibility
4iiii Fliiiight smart trainers use both the ANT+ PWR and Bluetooth Smart Cycling Power Service standards, which makes them compatible with nearly every headunit, smartphone, or computer you wish to connect to. Check your recording device documentation for ANT+ PWR or Bluetooth Smart (also called BLE, BTLE, or BT4.0) Cycling Power Service capability.
Tip: A Viiiiva can be used to record your workouts along with your heart rate.
